Indian Garden is one of Chicago’s best Indian restaurants. LDC members and guests will be taken on a journey of culture as they enjoy dishes from the Southern and Northern regions of India. The essence of Indian cuisine lies in the variety of spices available and the aromas generated by their use. The traditional use of spices will be significantly reduced for kids to enjoy.This LDC event will be a culinary voyage of discovery to the exotic tastes and textures of India and the warmth and hospitality of her people. Kids will dine in an area specially designated for them, while adults will dine close by in a family style setting. Kids will also see first-hand how to make Naan (Indian bread) in Indian Garden’s kitchen. LDC members should bring their passports to be stamped. All kids will receive a take home token to remember this experience.

Mango Lassi Drink (Churned yogurt mixed with mango puree and served chilled)
Appetizer Sampler
Vegetable Samosa (Deep fried cone pastry stuffed with potatoes and green peas)
Reshmi Kabab (Tender, boneless pieces of chicken breast marinated in sour cream)
Dinner Sampler
Steamed Basmati Rice (Long grained rice specially imported from Dehradun, India)
Fish Goan (Mildly spiced vegetable fritter of your choice battered and deep fried)
Murg Makhani (Chicken pieces roasted in a clay oven and then folded into a creamy tomato sauce)
Dal Makhni (Whole black lentils simmered until tenderand cooked with ginger, tomatoes and herbs)
Aloo Gobhi (Fresh cauliflower and potatoes cooked with herbs and ginger)
Naan (bread)
Dessert
Gulab Jamun (Dessert, golden-fried pastry soaked in sweet saffron syrup and served hot)
Kulfi (Pistachio and mango traditional Indian unchurned ice cream)
