Little Diner’s Crew welcomes the Jack & Jill of America Chicago Chapter to an exclusive private event at Yassa restaurant for a West African experience. Get ready to indulge authentic Senegalese cuisine on Chicago’s south side. Yassa is the first Senegalese restaurant in the city and one of the few African restaurants located in the bustling neighborhood. Yassa’s owners come from the Wol of Tribe of Senegal and live up to their legacy of generosity with the size of the portions they serve. Their blend of exotic cuisine may remind you of Jamaican and Asian spices. The Crew will sample several authentic dishes, a few refreshing juices and discover how the cooks prepare their food when they take a peek inside Yassa’s small kitchen to checkout where the magic happens.
MOCKTAILS – Baobob Juice and Honeydew/Pineapple Juice
MAFFE – Cubes of Lamb cooked in creamy peanut butter and tomato sauce with potatoes, carrots and yams.
DIBI CHICKEN – Chicken marinated in a mustard sauce and grilled.
